I understand this topic may be a little heady for you (smile), but your mind has no power. There is no power in your mind that you can focus outward by your thoughts or anything else in order to make something happen. None. The self-help gurus have sold you a bill of goods. Accordingly there is no power reservoir you can tap into purely from your own brain either. But, here we are living amidst a whole bunch of people seeking to use their mind power to make things happen, or if you prefer manifest it, attract it or what have you. I know the idea sounds appealing because it falsely offers offers us the ability to control something we cannot control presently. In similar fashion, the Cowboys do not lose or win because of your lucky hat or whether or not you were in the room when something good or bad happened. You and I do not control world events. In fact, we don’t control very many things at all, though we would beg to differ. God is not encouraged to act nor discouraged from acting because your thoughts were in the shitter today. Belief isn’t a thought, it’s an expectation. There is a power we can tap into through our minds, but make no mistake, we are not the source of it. That one seemingly small difference can make the difference between a successful life and a poor one. As long as you entertain the fantasy that you are controlling anything with your mind, you are destined to fail. Just when you need it most, it won’t be there. Instead we need to learn how to tap into the power that moves things in and out of our direction for us. We need to understand that thoughts lead to beliefs and beliefs tap into the power. In other words, you can manifest a result by your belief, but not by any mental powers inside. Both good and bad results come from our beliefs, but our mind has no power!
You know there is a rather famous guy who wrote about the Power Within. But, the title is misleading or maybe intended. To suggest that it is your mind power stopping your feet from burning on the hot coals is somewhat insane. In order for your feet not to burn, something is happening for sure, but not your mental prowess being wielded. You see, the sell, if you will, is about convincing you to rely on yourself to make things change to your favor. Rely on the giant within and when beckoned, he will come forth and solve your issues. But, who is he? You, the human being? Your heart inside, which is not magical but rather a compilation of what has been put into it? These themes, these ideas all suggest that you are somehow the power source and just need to learn (and pay$) in order to tap into it. As if deep breathing and gongs and focused thoughts are going to do anything about the problems you face. Calm you down? Maybe. But change things, not likely. As in most scenarios of life, the focus always leans towards the people and the great things people can do on their own. Religion focuses on you as the problem. Positivity doctrine focuses on you as the solution. Both are equally untrue. Your mind has no power of it’s own, except for one thing; the power or ability to decide. Decisions lead to beliefs and beliefs lead to the source(s) of power, both of which lead to the results you see in your life.
All error is consistent in accomplishing one task and that is to remove God from the picture. Error as in the aforementioned. Error as in the things we believe to be true that are not true and have been producing crappy results. That error. I digress. The objective is ever to get people thinking they are the source of something and thus have some type of control over it. Or offer them the promise of gaining control over it by sipping a Masala Chai and meditating. Error must get rid of God in order to be successful. It seeks to convince you that you can handle this life on your own by your good wits and street smarts. You can tap into the power within. You can have a great life without God. Absent God nothing makes sense. Man, just people who boiled up over eons of time with no purpose other than survival and no meaning and no much needed assistance with no future at all past this episode? Or, if you will, maybe God was supposed to be at the center of it all along. He knew, because He made us, that we had no power of our own. He also knew that we could be spiritual beings living in a physical world. So the masterplan was simple. Make a way for His humans to access Him by the freedom of their will and to discover how to tap into His power. His power! Rather than doling it out on everyone, violating free will, he decided to add that belief would be the key that activated the lever. Thoughts lead to beliefs and beliefs lead to the power. Decisions precede all beliefs. The only power we fully own is the power to decide. But, when we decide and it is something positive and we believe Him, He provides the thing we believed for, manifested, attracted in a much more accurate sense. Not via our power, but according to His power. Capish? Accordingly, when we fear certain outcomes it activates a lesser power. The same one trying to talk you into your power within.
Thank God the blessings and joys we experience in this life aren’t dependent upon your mind power or mine. Our minds aren’t making it happen. God is making it happen. You can cross a helluva lot of to do’s off your list when you have that realization. Good lord, loosen your grip on the earth (smile). Life was not intended to be complicated. Find God. Love God. Believe God. Tap God’s power. Get blessed. Live forever… I love you.
